On December 4, the 18th China New Energy International Forum and Exhibition was held in Beijing. As the organizer of this forum, Mr. Zhang Pengfei, General Manager of Tai'an JinenU Solar Co., Ltd. was invited to attend the forum as a representative of the company and delivered a keynote speech titled "Photovoltaic Module OEM Mode: An Inevitable Choice for Specialized Division of Labor". Zhang Pengfei took JinenU Solar's exploration and practice in customized OEM and shared production capacity as the starting point, analyzed the development trend and challenges of the PV industry, and provided new ideas and solutions for the industry to move towards the goal of "double carbon".
In the beginning of his speech, Mr. Zhang deeply reviewed the past five years of the PV industry. He pointed out that from 2020 to 2021, with the steady implementation of the grid parity policy, the PV industry ushered in unprecedented explosive growth. Into 2022, the industry encountered a surge in profits triggered by the shortage of upstream raw materials, and this wave directly catalyzed the industry's large-scale capacity expansion in 2023, with an increase of up to 200% or more. However, in 2024, the wind direction of the PV industry changed suddenly, the industry reshuffling pressure increased steeply, the market supply and demand relationship reversed, supply exceeds demand has become the core problem that needs to be solved.
In this context, JinenU Solar layout in advance, since its establishment in 2020, actively explore innovative foundry mode, is committed to become the PV industry "Foxconn". Mr. Zhang Pengfei introduced in detail the advantages of OEM mode, such as reducing initial investment cost, focusing on core business, improving production efficiency and responding to market changes flexibly. He pointed out that the OEM mode not only helps enterprises to reduce costs and enhance competitiveness, but also promotes the development of the industry in the direction of more specialization and clear division of labor.
As a pioneer of PV OEM modules, JinenU Solar has already achieved remarkable results. In his speech, Mr. Zhang Pengfei shared a number of successful cases of the company, including the production of 210N-66 board-type large-size modules, the flexible handling of 200MW multiple cut-line orders, and the delivery of 582MW multi-location production. These cases fully demonstrated JinenU Solar's professional ability and high quality service in foundry, and won praise from customers. In addition, Mr. Zhang Pengfei also introduced the concept and practice of shared production capacity of JinenU Solar. He pointed out that by sharing production capacity globally and flexibly adjusting peaks and valleys, JU PV has realized the optimal allocation of global PV resources and provided the industry with a solution to overcapacity.
Zhang Pengfei emphasized that JinenU Solar's future strategy will focus on the in-depth expansion of the PV foundry field, and is committed to becoming a more professional and specialized custom foundry service provider, and to continue to enhance its comprehensive strength in technology, production and service. In the next three years, JinenU Solar will set up six new production bases (three domestic and three overseas), including the Batam Island base in Indonesia, which is under preparation, with an additional capacity of approximately 30GW, and a total capacity of over 50GW.
